 | RECOL® FORJA is an alkyd enamel which gives a metallic appearance. Its exceptional decorative qualities provide a fine finish that looks like forged iron. RECOL® FORJA may be applied directly on surfaces such as metal, wood and masonry. Due to its formulation, RECOL® FORJA provides corrosion resistance, excellent adhesion, mechanical resistance and washability. It improves impermeability on surfaces in both interior and exteriors. |
COMPOSITION
Alkyd resin, solvents, pigments and high performance additives.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Make sure the surface is clean and dry, and that it is free of dust, grease, rust particles and paint in bad condition. Strip rust or old paint by cleaning with paint stripper, sandpaper or polishing machine. Repair surface imperfections that may damage the final appearance of the finish. Sand glossy surfaces. Apply wash primer on non ferrous surfaces.
APPLICATION
Stir RECOL® FORJA with a clean spatula until mixture is uniform. Apply from two to three coats of RECOL® FORJA,depending on the hiding power and film thickness you want.
DILUTION
Dilute with white spirit for better shine and evenness. Dilution depends on the tool you use:
TOOL DILUTION
- Brush or Roller 5% - 10%
- Spray gun 10% - 15%
- Airless spray gun 10% - 15%
DRYING
2 to 4 hours to touch and 6 to 8 hours to retouch at 25ºC (77°F) and 55% R.H.
YIELD
The yield will depend on the application tool, the color to cover and the final thickness of the film. One quarter yields between 75 sq. ft. and 150 sq. ft. in a single coating of the product.
